Many times, you’re able to get it for free off Craigslist. The same with such supplies as brick, edging, raised bed planters, and decorative rocks. Before you head to the store make sure that you check out what you’re able to get for free. You may even want to give it a couple of weeks to gather your materials from craigslist to get what you can for free. If you can’t find what you need on craigslist, then there are a lot of places that sell these supplies at a discounted price.

Where to Find Plants

The next step is to get the plants that you want. However, plants aren’t something that you can get for free in most cases. There are some occasions where you can find them for free on craigslist as well. The only catch is that more than likely you’ll have to dig up the tree yourself. This is where most of your money is going to be spent. Flowers, bushes, shrubs, and trees can be expensive. Along with this, you’re going to want to make sure that you have drip lines set up which aren’t expensive at all. Or if you really want to you can save where you can water them the old fashion way with a watering can or hose for the plants that are big enough for it.

Get Inspiration

Your home doesn’t have to look plain and bare as it has year after year. Look at pictures of the type of landscaping that you like, make a plan, get the materials and then go for it!
